Strengthening Secondary Struggling Readers Institute: Designing Responsive Reading Instruction for Students Who Struggle
Private & Parochial School Cohort
The CESA 6 Literacy Center recognizes the unique needs and challenges that private and parochial schools face. Because of this, we have designed a personalized Institute that allows for deep reflection and exploration of the research-based best practices that address the needs of your secondary struggling readers.
Do you find yourself endlessly modifying texts and tasks because some students struggle to independently read what you include in your instruction? Do you know, specifically, what barriers are keeping these students from reading successfully? Let’s find out!
Join us to receive insights, tools, resources, and knowledge to develop actionable ways to address the struggle – not just work around it.
A hybrid professional learning and in-district coaching approach will give you the opportunity to develop high-leverage routines and impactful instructional practices to help middle and high school readers grow. You will incorporate the routines and practices into your instruction with “in your building” support from the Literacy Center coach.
