Take Visible Learning further in your district, building, classroom, and at the individual student level by working alongside onsite with a Visible Learning + Certified Educator. Learn about the intricacies and nuances that come with a true and authentic visible learning journey. Take away a deeper understanding of school readiness, what to look for during classroom visits, and how the effect sizes and a year of Visible Learning can push student learning forward!

Goals

  • You will be guided by a Visible Learning + Certified Educator who has received intensive training on the inner workings of the Visible Learning Framework. 
  • Attendees wll gain a deeper understanding of how to implement Visible Learning Practices in their district.
  • Districts will receive a narrative based on a site visit from the Visible Learning Certified + Educator. 
  • Districts will have the ability to assess their current state and next steps.

Structure & Schedule

  • 5 Full Days PD on Site
    • Day 1 (Professional Development - Can be done whole staff or with teams):
      • Discussing connections between the model, research, key messages, and signature practices from the Visible Learning evidence base.
      • Identifying Signature Practices 
      • Determining the impact of specific strategies on student learning
      • Explaining the importance of each piece of the Visible Learning Model in creating a coherent system.
    • Day 2 (Classroom Observation Day):
      • Readiness Survey Conducted with Visible Leanring + Certified Educator
      • Examination of Readiness Survey Results with Building Leadership Team or Site Administration
      • 30 Minutes Pre-Classroom Observation Discussion - Using Walkthrough Tool
      • 90-120 Minutes - Classroom Observations
      • 30-60 - Classroom Debrief
      • Narrative created by Visible Learning Plus Certified Educator prior to next visit.
    • Day 3  (Professional Development - Can be done whole staff or with teams): 
      • Assessing my school or district using the Readiness Survey and Site Narrative with Leadership Team or Site Administration
      • Discussing evaluative thinking questions, what they mean, and how they apply to my role.
      • Analyzing the quality of implementation of initiatives in my school or district to determine impact. 
      • Being able to explain the phases of learning and strategies that can be deployed at each level of learning.
    • Day 4 (Classroom Observation Day): 
      • Examination of Readiness Survey Results with Building Leadership Team or Site Administration
      • 30 Minutes Pre-Classroom Observation Discussion - Using Walkthrough Tool
      • 90-120 Minutes - Classroom Observations
      • 30-60 - Classroom Debrief

    • Day 5 ( (Professional Development - Can be done whole staff or with teams):
      • Sharing our understanding of Visible Leanring Strategies 
      • Utilizing results from our initial Visible Learning Readiness Survey 
      • Developing Action Plans and Establishing a time for a Visible Learning Certified Consultant + Site Visit
