Year 1 - Reading Focus

  • Know literacy assessment options to support instruction.
  • Understand how to write IEP goals tightly connected to current reading research.
  • Understand how to monitor the progress of specific reading areas.
  • Develop a repertoire of instructional routines and tools in the areas of basic reading, reading fluency, and reading comprehension.
  • Identify specific instructional routines and tools to target students' IEP goals through specially designed and universal instruction.

Year 2 - Writing Focus

  • Know literacy assessment options to support instruction.
  • Understand how to write IEP goals tightly connected to current writing research.
  • Understand how to monitor the progress of specific writing areas.
  • Develop a repertoire of instructional routines and tools in the areas of written expression.
  • Identify specific instructional routines and tools to target students' IEP goals through specially designed and universal instruction.

  • Four (4) Full-day, whole-team learning sessions at CESA 6, Oshkosh
