Outcomes & Deliverables

  • Assessment for accessibility and participation within the school environment
  • Staff instruction and consultation for the development of strategies to meet each individual student needs
  • Direct interventions with children, including activities to promote strength, balance, coordination, and motor control to increase access and participation in all school environments and activities
  • Family education and collaboration
  • Students can access and participate in their school environment to the best of their abilities
  • Collaboration with staff and families leads to a team approach
  • Liaison between medical and school world in order to assist staff in how students’ medical needs are affecting their education
  • Collaboration at CESA 6 between therapists and other itinerant staff increases knowledge and opportunities for growth
  • Teams to problem solve with, not an isolated therapist at a school
    • Therapists have access to team collaboration and have regular access to collaboration with SLP/OT/DHH/audiology/vision impairment specialists, and more
    • Access to CESA 6 equipment (for equipment trials)
