Substitute Teacher Training

Overview

Wisconsin school districts are finding it increasingly difficult to hire and retain qualified substitute teachers. To combat this shortage area, CESA 6 has designed and will host Substitute Teacher Training. Participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to the field and assistance with the three-year permit application requirements and process.

Who should attend

This Substitute Teacher training is for individuals who are “new-to-subbing."  Participants are required to have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Institution of Higher Education.  Participants should not already have a teaching license or sub permit.

  • Substitute teacher permit application process

  • Who should attend

  • "New-to-subbing" adults who hold a (four-year) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Institution of Higher Education, but who do not already have a teaching license or a substitute teacher permit.
