Coaching Collaborative & Mentoring Program
Whether you serve in a large or small school district, being a Literacy Coach can be an extremely challenging job. We are here for you! Let us support you through our new Literacy Coaching Collaborative. This opportunity is specifically-designed for Literacy Coaches K-12. Join us to network and stay up to date on the latest information, tools, and resources to make literacy coaching highly effective and impactful.
In addition, two coaching experts will join us virtually to share their insights, tools, resources, and inspiration. We are excited to welcome Amy Musante, a Senior Consultant with Jim Knight’s Instructional Coaching Group to dive into the topic of “Better Conversations” and Jennifer Abrams, Consultant and Author to talk about “Having Hard Conversations.”
New 1st and 2nd-year coaches are invited to stay for our New Coach Mentoring program in the afternoons. We will dive into topics that will help you smoothly transition into your new role. We will provide individual support through 1-to-1 mentoring sessions.
Coaches will:
-
Problem-solve, collaborate, and build a network of support with other instructional coaches from across Wisconsin.
-
Network with instructional coaching colleagues to discuss and learn about best practices in instructional coaching.
-
Grow their coaching conversation toolkit based on the work of experts in the field of literacy.
-
Stay informed about the latest news, information, research, and ideas from Wisconsin and beyond.
"This was fantastic - I loved the BRAVING and overview coaching models. It got me thinking about how I structure my coaching work and gave me some ideas of things I want to change/revamp for this year. The timing was perfect!"
"Very relatable! Information that was shared aws helpful and had me reflect on my current coaching practices. I loved the Jamboards and talking about things as a group. I really don't like breakout rooms, so I appreciated the way you had us share today."
