WOW. This event far exceeded my expectations for the day. Students were treated like professional healthcare workers. They will never see or experience what they did through this opportunity until years into college. The experience was hands down by far the best my students could have been able to go through. Students have taken away information about new careers or it has helped solidify a career they want to further learn about. There is not enough praise for the staff that took students for the day teaching them what is is like to to their job through their eyes. We are forever grateful for this opportunity.
We have had two continuous days of recap in my classroom. Students were wowed just as much as I was.
As always, these experiences for the students I serve are so valuable. Learning outside of the classroom and exposure to many career paths is essential.
