Fallen Timbers is an environmental center located near Seymour, WI, owned by six school districts and operated by CESA 6. We facilitate hands-on experiences that enable students to realize the interdependence of people and the environment.

An Ecological Gem

The educators at Fallen Timbers provide hands-on learning opportunities for students from six area Consortium school districts. Annually, nearly 16,000 students K-12 learn and explore hands-on curriculum developed by Fallen Timbers staff and teacher curriculum teams. See examples of our partnerships with school districts:

Modern Forest Management

Gone are the days of clear-cutting. Today, special machines are able to harvest targeted trees to manage and keep forests healthy. Watch a short video of recent management at Fallen Timbers Environmental Center.
