The CTE Teacher Mentoring Program offers ongoing mentoring and induction-type professional development for CTE program teachers. Get support with lesson planning, classroom and laboratory learning, assessments, curricular materials, supporting CTSOs, work-based learning experiences, program networking, program development and classroom management.
- Mentors available for the following CTE program areas: Agriculture Education, Business and Marketing Education, Family and Consumer Science Education, Technology and Engineering Education
- 2 hours per month of either face-to-face or virtual meeting connections based on teacher preference

Carl Perkins Consortium at CESA 6

- 52 districts served, CESA 6 has largest consortium in state for schools served and funding received
- 5 technical college regions, 2 workforce development boards and 7 chambers of commerce included in partnerships
- 935 seniors graduates with an industry certification in schools supported by CESA 6, representing 23% of the total certifications earned statewide
- $592,000+ in school funding generated by industry certifications
Federal allocation grant dollars are pooled by districts to provide consultative services to improve and enhance Career and Technical Education Programming. The shared Local Vocational Education Coordinator (LVEC) is responsible for grant development, reporting, DPI/LEA liaison activities, and consultation regarding administration of the grant initiative.
Districts also are provided technical assistance for program and curriculum development, professional development opportunities, partnership activities, purchasing support and Education for Employment consultation. Student presentations and activities also are provided for targeted students. Networking and liaison between CESA 6 and regional and statewide networks allows districts to access and utilize resources outside of their district.

- Prepare, develop and write the annual consortium Carl Perkins grant proposal with input from local districts
- Oversee program grant, budgets and funds to ensure timely expenditures
- Prepare and process reimbursement claims, budget modifications and reallocation requests with DPI
- Monitor program to ensure goals are met and submit required reports to DPI
- Provide liaison services among appropriate partners, such as state, county, federal agencies and high schools
- Participate in state called meetings, conference calls and regional cohorts connected to this program.
- Coordination of programming and funding with other organizations and stakeholders (WFDB, WIOA, Local Business Alliances and Chambers of Commerce.)
- Serve as a program liaison with school coordinators to develop, design, implement and administer this program
- Provide leadership for the development and implementation of Programs of Study appropriate to each district’s needs.
- Provide real-time guidance on state CTE related initiatives and consortium level training
- Provide monthly communication regarding program updates, legislative notices and new grant opportunities
- Provide technical assistance and training for Career and Technical Education Enrollment Reporting (CTEERS)
- Provide technical assistance, review and submit CTEERs follow up reporting requirements
- Provide technical assistance for District Pupil Non-Discrimination Plans
- Provide technical assistance with preparation and submission of the Technical Incentive Grant (ACT 59) for consortium districts
- Purchasing services available upon request
- Assist districts with revisions and development of programs of study
- Link postsecondary program opportunities to pathways within high school programs.
- Coordination of consortium level pricing for instructional media
- Coordination of consortium level pricing for industry certification programs
- Complimentary monthly networking opportunities for staff regarding CTE improvement strategies
- District support for improvement academic integration strategies
- Serve as a program liaison with school coordinators to develop, design, implement and administer this program
- Provide expertise and advocacy per training to State and Federal CTE law and policies
- Support schools through nominations for regional and state awards for CTE programming.

- Communication regarding state grant opportunities and technical assistance regarding completion
