Join us for ACT 20 Teacher Training planning support. We will guide your planning and provide coaching, thought partnership, and feedback. Teams will have focused work time and our support if needed. Each participant will receive an ACT 20 Teacher Training Planning Workbook created by CESA 6 Literacy.

Cancellation Policy: Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before the event in order for a full refund to be issued. Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.

Grow your knowledge and understanding of small-group differentiated instruction
Explore shifts in independent reading practices
Build knowledge and understanding of high-impact student assessment and data practices
Learn and implement high-leverage instructional strategies
Build capacity for practice change in literacy instruction
Receive support in planning and scheduling small group instruction and independent reading
Through professional learning and the opportunity to network with other teachers as part of a learning community, your CESA 6 Literacy team will provide coordinated support that promotes continuous improvement in literacy instruction in the classroom.

Attended the January 16, 2024 workshop facilitated by Jan Burkins and Kari Yates, Shifting the Balance 3-5: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Upper Elementary Classroom
OR
Completed a book study of one or more of the following texts:
Shifting the Balance 3-5: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Upper Elementary Classroom (Cunningham, Burkins, and Yates)
The Reading Comprehension Blueprint: Helping Students Make Meaning from Text (Nancy Lewis Hennessy)
Teaching Reading: A Playbook for Developing Skilled Readers Through Word Recognition and Language Comprehension (Fisher, Frey, and Lapp)

* For every three (3) teachers registered from the same school, a free seat for an administrator
* For every three (3) coaches registered from the same district, a free seat for an administrator

In-district coaching to support implementation can include any or all of the following options:
