CESA 6 provides PI 34 license renewal support for private and public school educators, who are required to maintain a current license for employment. CESA 6 supports Initial Educators and Professional Educators in creating Professional Development Plans (PDP) as a part of their license renewal responsibilities.
CESA 6 will provide up-to-date professional development in:
Initial and Professional Educators will receive support related to understanding license renewal requirements, creating and implementing a professional development plan and locating PDP review team members.
The CESA 6 Professional Development Plan (PDP) Process Review and Writing Workshop is designed for Initial Educators who have finished Year One and will be in Year Two of their licensure cycle. Initial Educators will be guided through a process to produce a plan that can lead to educator goal approval.

Initial Educators, who have had their goal(s) approved and are writing Steps IV A and B, Reflection and summary, will want to participate in the CESA 6 PDP Verification Workshops. PDP verification Workshops will assist you in making decisions on the required evidence piece, so that your Plan will be ready for submission to a PDP—review team for final verification.

PI 34 requires that Initial Educators employed in Wisconsin public school districts be provided trained, qualified mentors. A qualified mentor will possess a current Professional Educator and/or Administrator license in the State of Wisconsin and will have been trained and certified as a mentor. CESA 6 provides mentor training to Wisconsin public school district personnel, private and parochial school personnel, and alternative schools personnel.
