How We Can Help
CESA 6 offers these services:
Build Your Own Curriculum (BYOC) User Network: The network is a valuable and unique opportunity to connect with other BYOC users and school districts. This is an avenue of support in which to learn implementation strategies for the different BYOC components at your personal readiness level.
Content area support: For specific CCSS literacy support, contact Kathy Schmitt, Director, Literacy Center at 920-573-2676 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Customized In-District Services: in-district services are customized to meet district and/or school Common Core State Standards needs. Curriculum, assessment, and instructional specialists provide the leadership and “know how” for helping districts to reach priorities for school improvement.
In-District Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Services: CESA 6 Instructional Services provides customized research-based practical processes and necessary content for the design, development, implementation and sustainability of local standards-based curricula, assessments, and instruction.
Data for School Accountability: Accountability Trainers are available to help you make sense of School Accountability data from the state, use district school and classroom data to monitor progress, design instruction, inform SLOs and make data-driven decisions in the classroom.
Leadership and Learning Analysis is an audit and evaluation in the areas of curriculum and instruction as well as leadership, assessment and accountability. Results are compiled and reviewed by CESA 6 coordinators with histories of successful district leadership. Data is analyzed and reported by CESA 6 Coordinators - it is not auto scored, to give each district a customized and professional review.
Learning and Assessment Center: The Learning and Assessment Center is a regional professional learning community and the forum for obtaining DPI/national educational updates. Most importantly, this network allows for sharing of best practices and finding solutions to challenging educational issues.
Strategic Staff Development: Customized, In district support and training by knowledgeable, experienced Instructional Services staff to provide you and your staff with needed staff development.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Universal Design for Learning for instructional planning at district, school and classroom level. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provides educators with a structure to develop their instruction to meet the wide range of diversity among all learners. UDL is a research-based framework that suggests that a one-size-fits-all approach to curricula is not effective. Instructional Services Staff provides training where participants learn the principles, components, research basis for UDL, practical applications of UDL to lesson design, helpful technology tools that support flexible, inclusive instruction, and how it works with initiatives and structures already existing in schools (e.g., common core state standards, educator effectiveness, RtI, and PBIS). Customized in district training and support opportunities are available.
Web-based support: CESA 6 has certified trainers to support the web-based curriculum tools Build Your Own Curriculum (BYOC) and Curriculum Companion. Contact us if you would like an overview of either product or more information on how web-based curriculum supports can help implement Common Core State Standards in your district.
WISEDash: CESA 6 provides resources, support and technical assistance on utilizing WISEdash tools to analyze data.
