Job Description: CESA 6 is seeking to employ a part-time Physical Therapist to work 4 days per week (80%) providing itinerant physical therapy services to students ages 3-21 in the Campbellsport, Rosendale/Brandon and Berlin School Districts. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of Individual Education Programs, providing direct instruction to students, consultation with school personnel and parents, Parent-Teacher instruction, and providing in-services. This position is also responsible for serving as a member of the IEP Team (with other teachers, therapists, school psychologists and social workers).
Other essential skills include effectively communicating with children of all ages as well as with adults, ability to maintain records, ability to manage time and schedule accurately, and ability to maintain student confidentiality. This position allows for collaboration with other Physical Therapists, working in schools for support and professional development opportunities.
Requirements: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification in Physical Therapy (Code: 817), or eligibility to obtain this license, is required. Certification in Physical Therapy through the State of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing is also required. This position is itinerant, so the individual hired must have their own transportation, a valid driver's license and be able to drive between school districts. Strong communication skills are necessary.
