Job Description:  CESA 6 is seeking to employ a full-time Special Education EBD Teacher to work with our upper elementary/middle school students at the CESA 6 Elmwood Alternative School Program in North Fond du Lac, WI.  The individual hired for this position will have experience with behavior management and dealing with students with challenging behaviors. Competencies in special education law, academic/behavioral planning and programming, and skills in report writing required.  The position requires adaptability to children’s physical and emotional needs.  The individual hired will also be responsible for evaluating student’s strengths and weaknesses to assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Programs, Consultations, Parent-Teacher Instruction and In-services; and will serve as a member of the IEP Team.

Requirements: The individual hired for this position will have previous experience working with EBD students at the elementary/middle school level.  Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Special Education Certification in 830 - Emotional Behavioral Disabilities or 801 - Cross Categorical license is required.  Certification working with students from K-8 is required.

The individual hired will be able to demonstrate knowledge of working in an alternative school setting.  Experience working in this setting is preferred.
